Visit to the doc yesterday to get a repeat prescription for my contraceptive pill. “Have you thought about long term contraception?” she asks, sweetly. Of course, being paranoid I read this as really saying “You’re 34 and childless – we’re washing our hands of your fertility.” Felt mildly depressed for the rest of the day.
On a separate note, there are ladybirds all over the house! Do they hibernate? And if so, why are hibernating here? Should I be cultivating small flies for them to eat?
Or does that last paragraph look like the desperate kind of child susbtitution that you might expect from a childless 34 year old?
